1. ABOUT THESE TERMS

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the provision of vehicle transport and logistics services by TY Vehicle Logistics ("we", "us", "our") to our customers ("you", "your"). By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. OUR SERVICES

TY Vehicle Logistics provides professional vehicle transport services including:

  • Enclosed trailer transport for exotic, classic, and high-value vehicles
  • Door-to-door vehicle collection and delivery services
  • Professional drive services for vehicle relocation
  • Same-day and urgent transport services
  • Dealer and auction transport services
  • Specialist handling for supercars and exotic vehicles

3. BOOKING PROCESS

3.1 Quotations

All quotations are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified. Quotations are based on the information provided by you and may be subject to adjustment if actual requirements differ.

3.2 Booking Confirmation

A booking is confirmed when:

  • You accept our quotation in writing (email, WhatsApp, or signed document)
  • Required deposit payment is received (where applicable)
  • All necessary documentation is provided

3.3 Required Information

You must provide accurate information including:

  • Complete vehicle details (make, model, year, registration)
  • Accurate pickup and delivery addresses with access details
  • Vehicle condition and any special requirements
  • Proof of ownership or authority to transport
  • Valid insurance documentation

4. PRICING AND PAYMENT

4.1 Pricing

Our pricing is transparent and competitive. Additional charges may apply for:

  • Changes to agreed collection or delivery details
  • Additional waiting time beyond the agreed schedule
  • Special access requirements or difficult locations
  • Out-of-hours services
  • Additional insurance coverage (if requested)

4.2 Payment Terms

Payment terms are as follows:

  • Standard Services: Payment due within 30 days of invoice
  • High-Value Vehicles: 50% deposit required, balance due on delivery
  • Same-Day Services: Payment due immediately or as agreed
  • Trade Customers: Credit terms available upon approval

4.3 Late Payment

Late payment charges of 2% per month may apply to overdue accounts. We reserve the right to suspend services for accounts in arrears.

5. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

5.1 Vehicle Preparation

You must ensure that the vehicle:

  • Is roadworthy and legally compliant
  • Has sufficient fuel for loading/unloading (minimum 1/4 tank)
  • Has valid MOT, tax, and insurance documentation
  • Is accessible for collection at the agreed time and location
  • Contains no personal belongings (we are not responsible for items left in vehicles)

5.2 Access and Availability

You must provide:

  • Clear access for our transport vehicles
  • Authorized representative at collection and delivery
  • All necessary keys and security codes
  • Accurate contact information for coordination

6. OUR RESPONSIBILITIES

6.1 Service Standards

We will:

  • Provide professional, courteous service
  • Handle your vehicle with the utmost care
  • Maintain comprehensive insurance coverage
  • Provide regular communication and updates
  • Complete services within agreed timeframes
  • Document vehicle condition at collection and delivery

6.2 Professional Standards

All our drivers are:

  • Fully licensed and experienced
  • Vetted and background-checked
  • Trained in specialist vehicle handling
  • Covered by appropriate insurance

7. INSURANCE AND LIABILITY

7.1 Our Insurance Coverage

We maintain comprehensive insurance including:

  • Goods in Transit insurance covering vehicles during transport
  • Public Liability insurance
  • Professional Indemnity insurance
  • Motor Trade insurance for driving services

7.2 Liability Limitations

Our liability is limited to the current market value of the vehicle or £100,000, whichever is lower, unless additional insurance is purchased. We are not liable for:

  • Pre-existing damage not declared at collection
  • Mechanical breakdown or failure
  • Loss or damage to personal belongings left in vehicles
  • Consequential or indirect losses
  • Delays beyond our reasonable control

7.3 Your Insurance

You must maintain valid comprehensive insurance on your vehicle. Your insurance remains primary during transport unless specifically agreed otherwise.

8. CANCELLATION POLICY

8.1 Customer Cancellation

  • More than 48 hours notice: No cancellation charge
  • 24-48 hours notice: 25% of service charge
  • Less than 24 hours: 50% of service charge
  • No-show or same-day cancellation: 100% of service charge

8.2 Our Cancellation Rights

We may cancel or postpone services due to:

  • Adverse weather conditions affecting safety
  • Vehicle breakdown or technical issues
  • Inaccurate information provided
  • Unsafe access conditions
  • Non-payment of required deposits

9. FORCE MAJEURE

We are not liable for delays or inability to perform services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:

  • Severe weather conditions
  • Traffic incidents or road closures
  • Industrial action or strikes
  • Government restrictions or regulations
  • Acts of terrorism or civil unrest
  • Natural disasters

10. DAMAGE CLAIMS

10.1 Reporting Damage

Any damage must be:

  • Noted on the delivery receipt at the time of delivery
  • Reported to us within 24 hours
  • Supported by photographic evidence
  • Formally claimed within 7 days

10.2 Claims Process

All claims will be investigated promptly and fairly. We may require independent assessments for significant claims. Settlement will be based on the cost of repair or diminished value, subject to policy limits.

11. COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE

If you're not satisfied with our service:

  1. Contact us immediately to discuss the issue
  2. We will investigate and respond within 5 business days
  3. If unresolved, you may escalate to an independent mediator
  4. As a last resort, disputes may be referred to the courts of England and Wales

12. DATA PROTECTION

We process your personal information in accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details of how we handle your data.

13. GENERAL TERMS

13.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our quotation and any written variations, constitute the entire agreement between us.

13.2 Modifications

Changes to these Terms must be agreed in writing. We may update these Terms periodically, and the current version will be available on our website.

13.3 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13.4 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remainder shall continue in full force and effect.
